Our mission
The Chilton/Clanton Public Library works to serve the people of both the city of Clanton and of Chilton County. It is our goal to provide library materials and programs to meet the informational, educational, cultural, and social needs of our community, regardless of race, religious creed, ancestry, age, sex, nation of origin, or mental or physical challenges. We are dedicated to the expansion of services to both the city and the county.
Who We Serve
The Chilton County Library System includes the Chilton/Clanton Public Library as well as the Jemison and Maplesville branch libraries. Anyone with a Chilton County library card may check out, reserve, or return library items at any of the three locations. The population that we serve includes all 44,147 people in Chilton County, Alabama.
